High-density acoustic membrane | airborne sound insulation
TECSOUND is a high-density (2,010 kg/m³) synthetic acoustic membrane developed by SOPREMA, made of an asphalt-free viscoelastic polymer with mineral fillers. Its high mass delivers excellent sound insulation even at a thin profile.
Unlike bitumen-based products it is odourless and does not harden over time, maintaining long-term performance. It can be applied to walls, ceilings, floors and pipes.
Supplied in surface-mass grades TECSOUND 35 / 50 / 70 / 100 (3.5–10 kg/m²). The self-adhesive TECSOUND SY series adds a peel-and-stick layer for easier installation.
Improves insulation of plasterboard partitions
Blocks noise transfer in ceiling cavities
Cuts airborne sound through floor structures
Reduces fluid noise (TUBE S)
Viscoelastic polymer at 2,010 kg/m³ for excellent insulation at low thickness.
No asphalt content — odourless and environmentally friendly.
Euroclass B-s2,d0 — low smoke, no flaming droplets, self-extinguishing.
Stays flexible and conforms to substrates and curved surfaces.
Viscoelastic membrane accommodates structural movement without cracking.
Negligible water absorption; does not rot.
